People Who Feel They Have A Purpose In Life Live Longer
"We know that happiness and social connection can have positive benefits on health. Now research suggests that having a sense of purpose or direction in life may also be beneficial."
Trouble is, these benefits accrue even to those whose sense of purpose or direction are anti-social. Misanthropes and (eg) aryan supremists ought not to be in robust health, right?
This supports what I think many people have felt to be true for a long time: The will to live is a powerful thing.
