Eugenics, Alive and Well Today
http://ideas.time.com/2013/07/10/eugenics-are-alive-and-well-in-the-united-states/
This article is about modern eugenics in California. 148 female inmates were unwillingly sterilized, with some having to be coerced into the procedure.
I found a list of sterilization laws by state. http://www.uvm.edu/~lkaelber/eugenics/ And I also found another article on it. http://www.eugenicsarchive.org/html/eugenics/essay8text.html
I'm not entirely sure how bad eugenics is as an idea, but it seems that it typically gets a bad reputation because generally speaking it is referred to as "Hitler's Eugenics" or used in such a context.
DQ: Is the idea of eugenics bad, or is it typically seen in a bad light because of the way that the Nazi's used eugenics?
