  1. For discussion question 4, I do think the best option is to move more towards adoption than surrogacy. Not to be crude, but its the same argument for adopting a pet from an animal shelter rather than buying from a breeder. When children grow up in the foster system, I believe it is our job as able citizens to take care of these orphans rather than having a surrogate mother.

  2. For discussion four, I feel like if a couple is struggling to have a baby I can see where they would go for surrogacy. I am in favor of knowing the surrogate mother personally rather than going to a company. I don't think that adoption should be their only option though. Maybe if they could have a surrogate mother the first time then if they really want a second child just adopt that would be the best of both worlds.

  3. For discussion two, I do not think able bodied couples should have surrogates carry their baby. I feel like the carrying process helps develop a stronger bond between the baby and the parents. Also at the moment, I can only think of a few negative explanations as to why an able bodied mother wouldn't want to carry her baby. In the end, the parents are the ones having to take care of the baby not the surrogate so they might as well cut out the middleman or in this case woman.
